2024 Paris Olympic Games – Big Bird in Paris

We are proud to be represented at the Olympic games by our youngest son Angus who will be rowing in 7 seat of the Australian Men’s Eight.

It is a hotly contested argument as to who holds the record for digging Pinot Noir skins out of an open fermenter between Angus and his older brother Hugh. In any event we miss them both in the cellar these days.

We have made two beautiful Big Bird wines to celebrate the achievements of Gus and his team mates as they row for Gold in Paris.

Thanks to Alex Harris from Folk and Poke who collaborated on the Big Bird creative – good mate of Jed Altschwager who will be rowing for Gold in the Australian PR3 Mixed Double Scull.

COOL CLIMATE WINES

Our grapes are grown on the Meadowbank vineyard, approximately 60 kms northwest of Hobart. Its rugged topography is bounded by the fast flowing, pristine waters of the Derwent River. These grapes are used to create our unique Chardonnay and Pinot Noir single vineyard wines.
