The Decanter Worlds Wine Awards has been a happy hunting ground for Dawson James and 2025 was no exception.

2021 Dawson James Chardonnay

Steely and compact, varnished with lime and grapefruit zest which ripples over cohesive structure. The bracing acidity keeps a brisk pace toward the oyster shell ending.

2022 Dawson James Chardonnay

GOLD medal, 96 points
Beguiling symphonic elegance with soft fruits lapping at the nose and a rapture of silky texture and lime curd acidity blissfully adorning the palate. Effortless.

2021 Dawson James Pinot Noir

SILVER medal, 91 points
Lifted nose displaying floral scents. Cherry, and blackberry with notes of licorice and forest floor. Vibrant and chalky on the palate

COOL CLIMATE WINES

Our grapes are grown on the Meadowbank vineyard, approximately 60 kms northwest of Hobart. Its rugged topography is bounded by the fast flowing, pristine waters of the Derwent River. These grapes are used to create our unique Chardonnay and Pinot Noir single vineyard wines.
